PROJECT OBJECTIVES
- Repair cracks and damages
- Grind and remove water-marks
- Identify and fill all pit-holes
- Polish concrete
- Bring up to high gloss, to create a more reflective surface and brighten room
- Apply dust-proofing agent
- Apply sealer to protect and lock surface, to ensure smooth, stain-resistant and dust-free floors
Data Centre I
One of our anonymous clients recently completed the construction of one of the largest data centers in Europe.
To ensure durability and low maintenance in this high-tech facility, they selected POLISANIER® polished concrete solution.
Polished concrete flooring is a go-to choice for data centers due to its durability, functionality, and ability to meet specific environmental requirements.
Existing conditions
- Newly poured concrete floor
- Areas with water damage to concrete
- Pit-holes* in concrete surface
*Concrete pitting refers to the development of small pits or indentations on the surface of concrete. This can compromise the structural integrity of the material, making it more prone to damage.
POLISANIER® FOR DATA CENTRES
For data centers with high-density setups, the weight load can become substantial, and floor systems must be able to handle this. Typical floors in data centers are rated to support loads from 480 to 1,200 kg per square mete.
The hard, dense surface of concrete formed through the polishing process improves the floor’s load-bearing capacity, making it even more resilient to the static pressure.
One of its key advantages is its dust-free surface, as the floors are treated with water-based chemicals, that binds and holds the dust particles within the core of the concrete. Keeping the dust out is essential for any data center to safeguard its valuable infrastructure and high-end equipment.

The smooth, dust-resistant surface of polished concrete is perfect for maintaining a clean and controlled environment. Since dust can disrupt sensitive electronic equipment, a floor that doesn’t trap particles or release dust from within the floor, is essential.
Polished concrete not only regulates indoor temperature with its thermal properties but also enhances energy efficiency by reducing the need for excessive heating or cooling. Its reflective surface minimizes the reliance on artificial lighting, further cutting energy consumption—an essential factor for data centers that manage large-scale energy demands.
In addition to its energy benefits, polished concrete stands out for its exceptional durability. It withstands heavy foot traffic, resists stains and moisture, and holds up against wear.
With minimal upkeep and unparalleled resilience, polished concrete offers a cost-effective, eco-friendly flooring option that meets the demanding needs of data centres while improving overall operational efficiency.
